Full Moon in Scorpio

The Moon appears full when it is illuminated by the Sun’s light. This happens when the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the sky, meaning they are in opposite signs. For example, the Taurus season Full Moon happens in the sign of Scorpio.

The Full Moon represents the climax of the Lunar Cycle. All the energy of the New Moon has been building up to this point. It is the time we feel most alive, high energy. There is a desire to connect, to gather, and to celebrate. Mirrored in the menstrual cycle by ovulation, it also represents the sigh of relief as all that built up energy is released. It is a time to let go, be free, and embrace the wild feminine.

While Taurus is a personal sign with a focus on material needs, Scorpio is an interpersonal sign that is concerned with how our finances interact with other people. This Full Moon find a balance between your personal finances and shared finances, whether that is between you and a partner or between you and your place of employment. This also applies to finding the balance between your self-worth and the worth someone else has imposed on you. Are you being paid what you feel your efforts are worth?

Scorpio is also a water sign and concerned with our emotional selves. It is the sign of transformation and can be quite intense as we look to our shadow sides. With the Full Moon illuminating this space take this time to release feelings of shame that are holing you back from feeling worthy of your desires. Shine some light on your secret self and allow her to be seen without judgement.

Both Taurus and Scorpio are fixed signs and incredibly stubborn. An important part of manifestation is letting go of your desires in order to allow them to come to you. This Full Moon reminds us to release the need to control how everything plays out. It is our job to focus on the what and the why and trust that we will find our way to the how.

On The Full Moon

The Full Moon ritual is similar to that of the New Moon. However, instead of setting intentions we focus our energy on the release. It is a perfect time to celebrate what we have achieved and let go of what has kept us stuck. I also suggest burning your lists in a fire safe manner. Fire helps transmute any negative energies and bring them back to neutral. It is especially powerful for letting go.

  • Set the space for inner work.

Suggested crystals: Citrine and Smoky Quartz. Suggested oils: Ylang-ylang or Orange and Cedarwood or Cinnamon

  • Full Moon meditation

  • Journal Questions

  • Releasing List

  • Gratitude list

  • Closing ritual:

Closing phrase: “Under the light of the Full Moon, I am cleansed. I know that I am blessed, and I live my life within that knowing.”

Burn your lists in a fire safe way.
